A Message from the Counseling Center:
Given the recent series of violent events dominating the national news during the past few weeks, some students may find it helpful to discuss their thoughts on these matters. The Georgia State University Counseling Center (75 Piedmont Ave, N.E., Suite 200A, Citizen’s Trust Building) would like to provide support to any student seeking a safe and confidential space to process these events. We want to remind the campus community that we are available for walk-in consultations for all enrolled students until 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. For students in need of support after business hours, please call 404-413-1640 and follow the prompts to speak to a counselor.

A Message from the Vice President

Welcome to the Division of Student Affairs

On behalf of the entire Student Affairs staff, I invite you to take a few minutes to explore these pages and discover the many outstanding co-curricular activities and experiences that are offered at Georgia State University. At the University, we are proud of our students, of our distinguished faculty, and of our dedicated staff who serve the campus and create its vibrancy. The Student Affairs program is responsive to student expectations and is committed to ensuring opportunities for our students to develop skills in leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility to prepare them for their future roles in society. Our mission informs our daily interactions with students to ensure that their experience is one that maximizes student success.

The Student Affairs staff works in partnership with the faculty and other administrators to create a learning-centered culture that encourages student development and growth. We are just one of the many reasons why Georgia State University is the university of choice for its students.
